Isonade

Isonade is a monster fish in Japanese legend. The story handed down in Matsuura, Hizen Province and the sea in western Japan. This story is also contained in the Ehon Hyaku Monogatari, a collection of weird story book. In ancient literature Honsōsenkō, this monster called Ōguchiwani (Ōguchiwani shark big mouth).

Isonade shaped like a shark with horns on his head and has three tails and three fins, he was also able to control the water as they wish. It was first discovered in the waters Yamagawa and live in the depths of waters of western Japan. Every few months he'll come out to the surface to breathe air. When he does this he will cause storms and waves in the surrounding waters, all nearby ship would sink and then used as food by Isonade. He also frequently attacked ships sailing in the ocean free.

Isonade has a subordinate named Samehada who live in the belly chakra Isonade and help add up to five times greater. Ugh food comes from food scraps are eaten Isonade.

In Japanese mythology story of the nine gods of war, Isonade, which has a symbolic element of water, had four battles, two wins (against Kaku and Shukaku), one loss (against Nekomata), and one-time escape (as against Yamata No Orochi) .

Isonade arise if the north wind blows hard. Boats passing nearby will be attacked. He swam slowly without sound. When sea calm as if rubbed, Isonade suddenly attack prey with tail fins. Before the attack, he would not reveal itself. Prey was dropped into the sea and eaten. People who were on board, will not know if Isonade is approaching. If people are aware of the color of sea water has changed, then it was too late. Then, people will feel the wind blowing from the sea surface to touch the body. The wind was coming from the tail fin Isonade. If he was aware Isonade already come, that person would have arrested him. For people who ride the boat, Isonade is being really scary. There is no prevention efforts that can be done so that people do not eat Isonade. So ironically, instead of going to sea to catch fish, the fish caught. According to one explanation, the origin of the name Isonade, is the sea surface like diusap (Japanese: naderu) when these creatures emerge from beneath the other. Another story says, when the tail fin to attack people, looks like being stroked.

According to people in the town of Kumano, Mie Prefecture, when people die on the beach, people "may be rubbed Isonade" (Isonade ni naderareta nodarō). According to estimates by researchers yōkai named Katsumi Tada, Isonade not a creature of the imagination, but a term used to refer to killer whales. However, killer whales do not have a full tail fin needle like Isonade. Based on the facts of the Japanese started to trade in China and Southeast Asia around the Muromachi Period, the Japanese who arrived in Southeast Asia for the first time see the estuarine crocodile skin on the back until the tail has a lot of bumps. It is an inspiration to create the monster that has Isonade needles in his tail.
