Susano'o (须 佐 之 男 / スサノオ) or also called Tatehaya Sosano wo no Mikoto (建 速 须 佐 之 男 命) is the god of the sea and storms in the Shinto religion. Susano'o is the brother of Amaterasu (sun goddess) and Tsukuyomi (god of the moon). The three of them are children of Izanagi who was born when Izanagi cleanse themselves (washing face).
